Back to School time!

Just a couple of cute ideas for back to school. Here is a printable list of "1st day of School" traditions. I love the magic schoolbus idea and the name pancakes - definitely doing those! While your visiting that website (Executive Homemaker) - check out her Executive Homemaker Binder. She lets you print out everything for free and it is a wonderful tool to keep track of your kids activities, your schedule, and everything else you want to organize.

Here's another cute idea from Everythings Pink. You could adapt this to give your kids on the first day of school.

Last idea is not necessarily back to school related but it's such a cute idea. I might use this for a primary quarterly activity or my daughter's birthday or even a school party....endless possibilities! Anyway, here it is at This Blessed Nest.

Funny Money and Recycled Purses

Woo hoo! My first post! Well, as it has taken me months to get around to actually having this blog - I'm pretty excited to get it up and running. This is really for me because as I peruse websites and blogs, I always find the cutest ideas for crafts or decor or kids that I want to try...but I can never find the sites once I have the time to actually sit down and create something. Hopefully this site will help me as well as all you out there who have the same problem. So, my work can be your play...easy peasy for you. Getting on with it....here are a couple of cute ideas that relate to back to school...well, kind of. This first one is something that I have been dutifully saving my Capri Sun wrappers for. Here are the instructions for a cute pencil case from Skip to My Lou - just love this website! Here is one for a little purse too! I will post some pictures after I make one - when I get around to it of course! My second little thing is a fun website called Festiste. You can make personalized money or playing cards. My kids loved seeing money that had their picture on it. I though about making "mommy dollars" or something for chores. Check it out!
